Well, here I am, blogging the last wedding of my 2019 season! It’s so hard for me to believe it’s all over, especially as it feels like it was just yesterday that I was meeting Kaitlin and Kyle for the first time at their engagement session. From the very first email Kaitlin sent me, I knew that she and Kyle were different. They answered the questions I ask every bride + groom that inquiries with me in great detail, sharing their story and selves with me from the very start. We had multiple phone calls where it felt more like I was catching up with old friends than having a “client meeting.” In a crazy series of events, I will even credit them with helping me find the house I now live in!! They spent their wedding day asking me how was doing, and their friends highlighted this sentiment in their speeches as well. Simply put- Kaitlin and Kyle are a couple that puts others first.

…So you can imagine how happy I was to be a part of a day that is about putting them first!! They are seriously some of the most genuine people I’ve met. While I was eating dinner during their reception, I was chatting with the people at my table. They asked how Kaitlin found me and if I was a friend of Kaitlin’s to which I said, “yes!” I then realized I had to clarify, that technically I didn’t know Kaitlin and Kyle before they found me on The Knot, but now I can’t help to consider them my friends more than just “clients.” I guess that is what is making writing this post so challenging– I feel like I’m blogging a good friend’s wedding and wanting to make sure I do it justice!!

Kaitlin and Kyle got married on the most perfect November day (a high of 42 and sunny while every other day around it was in the 20s and chances of SNOW!). They incorporated unique detail into their ceremony that made it feel very them- a black and tan unity beer for one! Their cocktail hour boasted a snow cone machine for guests since Kaitlin’s last name is Snow and Kyle’s is Kohn (pronounced cone) which I thought was just about the best play on words ever! The room was filled to the brim with friends and family who love them dearly… and know how to DANCE!

It might have been one of my favorite receptions ever with the lights, dancing, and HUGE tv playing the music videos to every song that played! It was such a fun touch and you can deffffffinitely tell the guests loved it 😉

Kaitlin and Kyle- I cannot WAIT to watch your marriage journey unfold. You are each other’s perfect match and I feel so lucky to have been a part of your day. And now… here’s a look back at your beautiful day!

Kyle gifted Kaitlin a PIECE OF LAND IN SCOTLAND for her wedding day gift. Seriously the coolest present ever!!

Kaitlin, you are STUNNING. I posted a million of these bridal portraits because how do you pick a favorite?!

When you realize half way through your reception that your dress glows in the dark!!!

LOVE when a bride actually dances at her reception!!

  3. […] veils are so light that, on a windy day, get tossed around too much. A nice weight at the edge (like a lace rim) can be the perfect combo- you have some weight pulling it down, but not too […]
