This Sunday evening engagement session was the perfect end to a busy week of shoots! Emily and Alex were so laid back and happy it was truly so EASY to photograph them naturally! They chose to explore the Northpoint neighborhood in Milwaukee for the backdrop of their engagement session and I am SO excited for how they turned out!

Emily and Alex will celebrate 10 YEARS of togetherness right after their wedding! Yes, they met in high school when they were biology lab partners. They were both English majors in college (like me!) which I also love. Emily is the first person to ever comment on the F. Scott Fitzgerald quote on my website’s home page, and I pretty much knew at that point we were kindred friends 🙂

Alex proposed at the site of one of their first dates, Milwaukee’s Oriental Theater, with a sapphire ring nonetheless! He explained to me that there are also two blue topaz stones on either side of the sapphire to symbolize their two December birthdays. I just love the thought that went into the ring and the meaning behind it all! Alex and Emily will tie the knot next August at Best Place, the Historic Pabst Brewery. Until then- here’s a peek at their engagement photos!
