I have been looking forward to this wedding since I first spoke with Emily a year ago, and let me just say- their day did NOT disappoint! Every part of the day felt so happy and uniquely *them*- from the girls’ morning mimosa toast, the guys’ hanging out around the pool table pre-ceremony, their quiet moment alone to pray and exchange vows, to the ecstatic bridal party, celebratory shots of liqueur made by Emily’s nonno when she was born, and the packed dance floor. Maybe joyful is a better word- everyone (most of all Emily and Adam!) just possessed this deep elation and desire to celebrate the marriage of these two, and it was particularly salient all day long.

I especially loved all of the little ways Emily and Adam chose to make God’s presence known throughout the entire day. Emily’s bridesmaids said a prayer with her before getting her dress on, Emily and Adam shared a moment pre-ceremony to pray together for their marriage and day, and countless other ways during the ceremony. People mentioned in their speeches multiple times how God had literally brought them together, having first met at a bible study. No one forgot that God was the Orchestrator of this relationship, and He was honored in so many big and small ways during their celebration.

Emily and Adam are true treasures of people, and it’s only fitting that they found each other and fell in love. I have been incredibly blessed to know them, and feel so SO grateful their wedding has brought us together and created a real friendship between us. While I can’t believe their wedding is over already, I feel far more excited of what’s to come in their marriage. I know God has amazing plans for the two of them, and I can’t wait to watch where they go! Hugs to you, Emily and Adam- you two are the best!
