Maternity boudoir might just be my new favorite thing to photograph. As every mom knows, pregnancy is a really beautiful yet challenging season of life. There are certainly highs (excitement of meeting your babe, feeling the first little kicks) and lows (morning sickness, fear of labor/ delivery, general discomfort) to the whole process. Being a mom myself, I know firsthand how exciting AND painful that can all be. Yet, photographing moms-to-be and their swollen bellies has brought an entirely new attention to pregnancy to me. Watching the light fabrics wrap around mama-to-be curves as she is bathed in sunlight at my studio has me allllll heart eyes over here. I wish I could photograph every mother at this season of life!

When you first think of boudoir, you probably don’t think of having photos taken of you when you’re 8 months pregnant 😉 But I hope, after seeing this session below, it makes you look at pregnancy (and your amazing pregnant BODY) with newfound awe and reverence. One of my favorite things about boudoir photography in general is the ability to make my subjects see themselves in new light.
