“Falling for Traci wasn’t falling at all. It was walking into a house and suddenly knowing you’re home.” Scott ended his vows with this sentiment, and for a moment we all just hung on those words of his devotion. Though Traci had been preparing herself for an emotional day all morning, it was her dad that was now wiping a tear. He held on to his wife’s hand, this day before Mother’s Day, and I think both of them were feeling the same thing: our daughter is safe with Scott. He will love and protect her just like we do. And though my own daughter is only one year old now, I can imagine being in a similar place 25 years from now and hoping for the same thing. Love my baby, protect her, care for her- as you would your own home. Scott’s words were poignant and perfect.

I first met Traci and Scott seven months ago at their engagement session. I mentioned this then and feel like it would behoove me to bring it up again: their natural inclination is to love each other. Whether it was Scott lending Traci his jacket or sweeping a hair out of her face, or Traci grabbing for his hand naturally as they walked side by side, it was easy for me to see that they are drawn to each other!! Their day took place throughout the grounds of the beautiful Grand Geneva, ending the night at the Grand Geneva Chalet. But I come back to their love, their second-nature hand hold & quick kiss love, that was the main event.

Traci and Scott- it’s my hope that your love will serve you both well in building a strong foundation for your marriage. Thank you for allowing me to witness and document such a special day for you both! Cheers to many more years spent loving each other 🙂
