It’s not very often that I’m front and center on the blog, but how could I not share these beautiful photos?! I am so grateful to my friend and fellow photog Katie for snapping these for us 🙂 Months ago, Katie and I got together and talked about doing these cherry blossom sessions, but you just never know if your expectations will mirror reality. Especially when there is so much variance in weather, which in this case not only affected the photo atmosphere but also the actual blooming season of the cherry blossoms! This was our only free weekend in all of May (and blooming season) so we put all of our eggs in one basket and it couldn’t have turned out better!! The UW Madison Arboretum is small-town famous for these beauties, and it’s no secret that it’s the prettiest place to shoot this time of year. There must’ve been 20 other groups there doing the same thing!

As a photographer and as a mom in general, it’s not often that I’m given the gift of being in front of the camera, especially with my baby girl who is growing so quickly. I am so thankful that Anastasia cooperated despite a lack of rest and Domenick agreed to this despite being in the middle of studying for his last graduate school final! The stars really did all align. It was hard to pick favorites, but below are some of mine 🙂 Enjoy!

If only you could see all of the shenanigans that were going on behind my camera to get her to smile!!!
