Here’s a fun fact: my first meeting with Regeni was actually THE DAY she got engaged (and it hadn’t even happened yet!). We met at a coffee shop to talk photos and she had a sneaky feeeeeling that something special might be happening that night ;). She was right, and within weeks I was shooting their engagement photos! Fast forward a few months and it’s the week of their wedding. Every day I’d refresh my weather app PRAYING that the 90% chance of rain on Saturday would shrink. Thankfully, by Saturday morning, we were looking at only scattered showers that night, long after our outdoor photos were over. The umbrella I had purchased just in case remained unused in my car the whole day!

Last Saturday was also the start of my 2018 wedding season, and I am so glad Aaron and Regeni kicked it off! Regeni did a great job planning their big day in 3 months and was THEE most calm bride. Also, they got married on Aaron’s BIRTHDAY! Talk about selfless. I wouldn’t volunteer my birthday to also be my wedding anniversary 🙂 And with two celebrations came two cakes!! Doesn’t get much better than that. We romped around the beautiful Naga-Waukee Park for portraits and the night ended with lots of laughs and dancing at Delafield Brewhaus. Regeni + Aaron, thank you for being such an awesome couple and allowing me to document this day for you! I can’t wait to see pictures from you European honeymoon come this fall!

Regeni, you made a GORGEOUS bride!!

so much emotion!

Happy Birthday, Aaron!!!
