If you looked up “perfect spring wedding day” in the dictionary, you’d find these photos! This day was made even sweeter by the horrible forecast that turned out to be 100% wrong, thankfully 🙂 The overcast day proved to be ideal for photos and by some stroke of magic, we got the most golden of all golden hours when we snuck out of the reception for 10 minutes. The Delafield Hotel hosted Kayla and Jestin’s wedding ceremony and reception, and the lilac hues with blush and eucalyptus accents made for the dreamiest of spring settings.

Kayla and Jestin were set up by Jestin’s aunt, who is Kayla’s coworker. This same aunt was the first to sink a bag in the reception’s make-us-kiss bags game, which felt like the perfect way to come full circle. The love that Kayla and Jesse clearly have for each other was palpable throughout the entirety of the day- lots of happy, happy tears!

One of my favorite parts of the reception was when Kayla and her dad broke into a full on choreographed surprise dance during the father-daughter song. It was a mash-up of fun hits from the Macarena to N*Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye” and had the whole room entertained!!

Kayla and Jesse- thank you for having me along on your special day! It was a joy to witness you + the love you share with each other and so many others. Enjoy your first peek of your wedding photos!
