What a DAY! Although I’m tempted to say what a YEAR as Kimberly and Nick officially wed on their planned wedding date, July 20, 2020, but had their celebration last Saturday. This day seemed to be the perfect compliment to their actual wedding day. I’m told their wedding day was rainy, and we had sun and a BEAUTIFUL 60 degree spring day. They had just immediate family at their wedding, and this was a party with their full guest list! Together, these two days and celebrations seem to go hand-in-hand. Kimberly and Nick had the most beautiful wedding celebration 10 months later at The Carriage House, and now I’m thinking: everyone deserves a marriage celebration! It’s almost better than a wedding- instead of focusing on two becoming one, it’s the two staying one, in the midst of good and bad (and a pandemic to boot).
The colors of the bridesmaid dresses and flowers made for some of my favorite bridal party and detail shots EVER! The dusty lilac and desert lilac just seemed to pop against the Carriage House’s green lush trees. It was also exciting to take a trip to Lac La Belle for some portraits! It’s not often I get to shoot on a shore, so I was loving the change of scenery!
Kimberly and Nick, it was so great to FINALLY be able to celebrate alongside you and your family and friends. And while I will miss you being my longest-standing wedding clients, I know the best is yet to come. I can’t wait to see where your marriage brings you next!
