Introducing the first engagement session of 2020; meet Amy and Joe! After Amy saw me shoot her friend’s wedding last September, Amy and I have waited 9 MONTHS to meet each other in person/ take their engagement photos (and it didn’t disappoint!). We explored the beautiful Lake Park for their engagement photos, complete with the old elegant staircase and bridge. After, we headed to the lakefront for a few shots of the Milwaukee skyline/ Lake Michigan in the background. These two are so fun and laid back, and totally trusting of my ideas to sneak around a fence for some shots at Lake Park or to climb up on the boulders down by the lake!

Amy and Joe met when they were young up north. Their families ironically picked the same little resort to camp at. Amy’s family went up once a summer for a week, and she’d see Joe/ his family every year. Fast forward a few skipped summers, and when Amy returned, Joe was bartending they hung out the whole week. The rest is history! Six years later, he proposed up there in front of friends & family (I love how everything came full circle!). They are getting married next May at the Ivy House and I cannot WAIT to spend their day alongside them!

I don’t normally shoot the bride + groom separately at an engagement shoot, but I had this feeling I should in this session so I did. I am SO happy I listened to that gut feeling because LOOK at how cute this is!! A few more later on too!

ALLLLL the Meghan & Harry vibes!!
