Meet Paige and Shawn. Shawn’s in the army and we didn’t know when he’d be back in WI between now and his wedding next year. Paige and I had tentatively been planning on doing their engagement session the week of their wedding because that’s literally the next for sure time he was going to be here. And then I get an email from Shawn Friday morning saying he’s on a flight home to surprise Paige asking if we can take engagement photos while he’s here for the weekend. How could I not?! I love that they chose Marquette’s St. Joan of Arc Chapel for the backdrop of their session. They both went to Marquette for undergrad and it seemed like both a meaningful and beautiful spot for pictures!

Paige and Shawn met while on a school trip to Europe (so romantic, right!?). She says the first met in Paris, but didn’t really “hit it off” until Italy– literally what couple can say that?!?!! I love how giggly they are and I found myself *actually* smiling while I was editing their photos since they were so smiley and happy! I love it!

It was so fun being a part of their surprise weekend together, and they have me all kinds of excited for their wedding next year at the Cupola Barn in Oconomowoc. I can’t wait!!
