It was a hot summer day when Allie and Jim got married, despite it being only the first weekend of June! I could go on and on about any aspect of this day: how stunning the bridesmaids dresses were all together, the bubble exit from the ceremony, the incredible dance moves I witnessed all over the dance floor. But all of that would pale in comparison to the heart and spirit of Allie and Jim woven all throughout the day. You can tell by being around them for just five minutes what gracious, kind, and humble people they are. And you can also tell by the number of guests that came to support them, just how many people they impact on a regular basis. I got a sense that each was a stunning person inside and out on their own, yet when they are brought together- they are simply a powerhouse of love and care.

Another thing I loved about their day was how near each venue was to each other- nothing was longer than a 10 minute walk away! Allie and Jim had their ceremony at St. Benedict the Moor church and, following the ceremony there, we headed to Jim’s alma mater Marquette for bridal party photos. There are few places I love more than Marquette’s campus for photos in downtown Milwaukee, so any chance I get to shoot there is a win for me! Finally we headed to The Best Place for the reception and a night full of a whole lotta dancing!

Allie and Jim- thank you for having me along with you for your big day! It was an honor to witness the day your marriage started, and I look forward to seeing where this journey takes you!
