What a celebration! It was a joy to spend the day with Katherine and Malcolm as they said “I do.” We had beautiful July weather with not a drop of rain in sight, despite some forecasts saying otherwise 🙂 The girls got ready in the Geneva National cottages and then we headed outside for Katherine and Malcolm’s first look. The trees and light there were simply stunning- a favorite combo of mine! After portraits, we headed to the Lakeview Terrace for the ceremony. They hit the florals and signage out of the park; no detail was left forgotten (including parasols- swoon!). Guests were treated to dinner and dancing in the Legends Room following cocktail hour, and when I say the dance floor was packed: IT WAS PACKED! Especially once they brought out the fiber optic glow wands- it was incredible!

Something I won’t soon forget was how many out of state and international guests were at this wedding. Alison (my second shooter) counted SIX people from Wisconsin, and that’s it!! Incredible! As one of the speeches mentioned, Katherine and Malcolm were truly surrounded by love from around the world that night. And what a testament to Katherine and Malcolm, to have that many close ties to people who would travel great distances to see you get married!

Congrats again to Katherine and Malcolm, your day was uniquely you and a smashing success from start to finish. Thank you for allowing me to be the one to capture your special day, and I look forward to seeing the many wonderful places your marriage is sure to take you. Cheers!
