If I had to choose one word to describe Hannah and Hank’s wedding day, it would be full. Sure, the timeline felt full, and Tall Guy and A Grill kept our bellies full; but also- the room was FULL (a welcome sight after the past 2 years!), people’s joy was full. Glancing around the space at any given moment of the day (be it the getting ready room, the church, cocktail hour, or even our pit stop at Caffrey’s), you’d see how excited everyone was to have Hannah and Hank’s day finally be here. There were a lot of people waiting for a long time to celebrate these two!! I think that’s what made the day so sweet to the brim- so much love and anticipation had built up in everyone for who these two people are singularly, and ALSO who they are as a unit. It was so special to witness and document all Saturday long!

The ceremony took place at Gesu, the church located on campus of Hannah and Hank’s alma mater. Their wedding was presided by a Jesuit that also happened to have taught Hank in high school! I loved how sentimental every aspect of their day was. We did bridal party portraits at Marquette’s St. Joan of Arc chapel and then headed to the infamous campus bar for a celebratory libation. The Ivy House was the perfect venue to host a romantic evening of dinner and dancing, complete with live event artist Katie Geis painting a scene from the couple’s first dance. By the end of the night, I was thinking, “If this wedding is indicative of how the rest of my 2022 season is going to be, it is going to be the best year yet!!”

Hannah and Hank- being with you on your wedding day was so FUN! You two are as funny as you are gracious, and it was an honor to spend your wedding day alongside you. Cheers to the Greenings, and enjoy the very first wedding blog post of 2022!
