Intimate weddings are super special to me. Mainly I spend half of the day thinking, “I can’t believe that I was lucky enough to be present when so many friends and family of the couple couldn’t be.” Weddings are ALWAYS an honor to be a part of, but intimate weddings are a whole other level. At Kristina and Ryan’s wedding, I truly felt like one of their inner circle. That is due, in part, to the fact that I was one of 23 people there, but mainly because that’s who Kristina and Ryan (and their immediate family/ closest friends) are.
Kristina and Ryan are two of the most genuinely caring and hospitable people. They spent a whole trolley ride between locations describing their bridal party to me, and listing why they are some of the world’s kindest and understanding humans. I think kindness begets kindness, and that was certainly true about everyone gathered for this special day.
Kristina and Ryan got married last year with just immediate family present due to covid-19. This time around, they were able to have their full bridal party with them on their first anniversary weekend. It was an incredibly special way to celebrate both the wedding day they had dreamed of and having accomplished a year of marriage together (through a pandemic, no less!). Hotel Metro was the perfect place to host an intimate gathering, as it has three distinct places to entertain guests! There was an elegant room to eat in (with tons of windows/ natural light), a wooded common space clad with a bar and space for appetizer displays, and a HUGE outdoor patio with stunning views of Milwaukee. It was the perfect place to start and end their wedding celebration!
