I am SO excited that I finallyyy got to meet Madeleine and David in person at their engagement session! When brides & grooms inquire via my website, the final “question” for them to fill out says “Your story- tell me more about you!” I always feel that the more I learn about my clients, the more that their true selves come through in their images. Most of the time, people only write a few sentences with a quick synopsis of how they met, etc. But Madeleine wrote me a short novel and it was at that moment I KNEW these two were my kind of people!!
Madeleine and David met their junior year at Marquette University on a spring break Public Health service trip to Nicaragua. They are now both in their first year of med school at MCW & I’m not sure I’ve met a more dually passionate, driven, & caring couple! Madeleine and David also have an affinity for adventure: they took a backpacking trip together through Glacier National Park, Tetons National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Badlands NP and Theodore Roosevelt NP; they lived and worked together in Alaska for five months at a hotel in the Denali National Park; therefore it seems only fitting that David also proposed on the tallest peak of New Mexico, Wheeler Peak. I love pretty much everything about their story and their relationship!
I cannot WAITTTT until next April when Madeleine and David say “I do” back at Marquette’s Gesu Church and head to the Historic Pritzlaff to celebrate. Until then, here’s a few faves from their engagement session when I got to show them a new place to explore!
So absolutely gorgeous. You could not of found a more beautiful place for the photo shoot. It suits you perfectly. A great place to begin this journey. Let the celebration begin!
Looking at the photos and reading the prose that was written brings tears to my eyes.
