WHAT A DAY! Anyone involved with Stephanie and Will’s Boerner Botanical Garden wedding will agree: it was flawless! The whole day was brimming with love- between the bride and groom, but also between all of the people that gathered from all over the country for their celebration. They had guests that travelled from 15 different states to be here; now that’s love!

Stephanie’s father officiated their wedding (which may have been my favorite touch out of everything!) and also gave an incredibly touching speech before dinner. In his speech, he shared about the first time he met Stephanie, and the journey it was to become Stephanie’s adoptive parents. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room (including mine, obviously). He talked about how Stephanie and he would watch Beauty and the Beast over and over and over, just them two curled up together. So naturally, when Tale as Old as Time came on to begin the father/daughter dance- there I (and everyone else) was crying all over again.

Being a part of Stephanie and Will’s celebration was such an honor for me. It’s not lost on me that by virtue of being a wedding photographer, I am a part of many people’s most special days. I was distinctly reminded of that this day, and am incredibly grateful to be entrusted to document these memories. I am so happy that Stephanie and Will’s years of being long distance and Skype calls are over, and to be with them on the first day of their forever. Cheers, you two!
