My love for these two runs pretty deep! If you’ve been around here long, you’ll recognize Ingrid and Jaron from their engagement session last summer. They had their wedding planned for this July, but like so many couples, they had their plans upended because of covid. So, the silver lining in all of this is that I get to spend more time with these couples during their engagement, both in person and just checking in with them via email/ social media. The time I spend with my clients before their wedding is truly so special to me; there’s always this air of excitement and anticipation, and I absolutely LOVE learning more about them before I show up the morning of their wedding day.

When it comes to Ingrid & Jaron, it really feels like I am able to photograph the wedding of my friends. I first met with Ingrid in May 2019, which, unbeknownst to us, would be nearly 2 years before the day they will actually get married. But since that day, I’ve learned so much about Ingrid (that we share the love of Taylor Swift, the season of fall, and coffee) and for that I’m so grateful! So here I am rambling– what I’m trying to say is that I will ALWAYS jump at the chance to photograph (or really just spend time with) these two. Therefore, when Ingrid asked if I was up for shooting some fall portraits of them as a sort of treat for needing to wait an additional 9 months to wed, I couldn’t respond yes fast enough! Enjoy this little sneak peak of this beautiful fall day at their alma mater, and I am excited to say with confidence that the next time they grace this blog, it will be their WEDDING DAY!
